Kiroween Hackathon Submission Announcement
We’re excited to share that FluentDynamoDB has been officially submitted to the Kiroween 2025 Hackathon, sponsored by AWS Kiro. While this project is much larger than a typical hackathon entry, the event provided a great opportunity to showcase the development workflow we’ve been using behind the scenes.
🚧 Project Status Update – Temporary Code Freeze FluentDynamoDB is currently in a temporary code freeze due to our Kiroween 2025 hackathon submission. During this period, the public repository will not receive updates, and new features will be released after judging concludes in early 2026. We're still actively engaged with the community, and we're preparing a February release that will include important fixes, improvements, and new capabilities.
How Kiro Helped
FluentDynamoDB has been built using Kiro’s spec-driven workflow, including:
- EARS-style structured requirements
- detailed design documents
- source-generator implementation tasks
- multi-model workflows for complex areas (like geospatial encoding)
- automated test generation
Over the course of the hackathon, this workflow helped accelerate feature development and refine several key subsystems.

What’s Next
This submission represents only a small slice of what FluentDynamoDB aims to become. Moving forward, we continue to evolve this project towards our 1.0 release.
Thank you to the organizers — and good luck to everyone participating!
